City Council Meeting/Public Hearing

 

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

 

Please take notice that the City Council of the City of Boulder will consider a resolution (2024-11) to amend the budget to make special provisions for a Lucas device in the amount of $15,624.46 purchased by the Ambulance Department as well as adjustment to the Swimming Pool fund and the MT DOC grants fund.  Questions can be directed to Brian Bullock at 304 North Main Street or (406) 225-3381.  Emailed comments and questions can be directed to cityadministrator@cityofbouldermt.com.  The public hearing will be held at the regularly scheduled City Council meeting on November 18th at 6:30 p.m. at City Hall (304 North Main Street).

City Council Meeting/Public Hearing

The Boulder City Council will hold a public hearing to afford the public the opportunity to provide comments on a conditional use application submitted by Rosemary Perna to place a trailer home on TBD Garden Drive.  The public hearing will take place at the regularly scheduled City Council Meeting on October 21st at 6:30 p.m. at City Hall (304 North Main Street).  Questions can be directed to Brian Bullock, City Administrator, at cityadministrator@cityofbouldermt.com or (406) 225-3381. 

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

 REQUEST TO VACATE A CITY STREET

 FOR THE CITY OF BOULDER

 

The Boulder City Council will consider the abandonment of Evans Street within the City of Boulder. Evans Street is in the J.H. Evans Subdivision and bound by parcel 3 of the J.H. Evans subdivision with a legal description of S32, T06 N, R04 W. Acres 2.06, Parcel 3, COS 168913 F437B to the south. And J.H. Evans subdivision Lot 33, 36, Acres 1.576, M&B Lot A COS 213740 F660A to the north.

The Bruce and Jacqueline Wagner Trust owns all the lots and parcels listed above and there are no other parcels or lots that abut Evans Street. Evans Street has never been developed and there is no history of any usage. They request that the land for Evans Street be included in Parcel 3.

The public hearing will be held at City Hall, 304 N. Main Street, Boulder, Montana on October 21, 2024, at 6:30 p.m. Please contact the City Office at (406) 225-3381 with any questions or to obtain Zoom information if one wishes to attend virtually.

The Zoning Commission/Planning Board will meet Thursday, September 19th to discuss and decide on granting a Conditional Use Permit for Dan Yanzick to place a Class B mobile home at 305 South Cook Street.  The meeting will take place at City Hall (304 North Main Street) at 5:00 PM.  The Mayor and/or Boulder City Council Members may be in attendance.

NOTICE:  The City of Boulder Planning Board will hold a public hearing to adopt (provide a recommendation to City Council) new Subdivision Regulations on Monday, August 5th, at 6:30 p.m. at the City Hall (304 North Main Street).  The session is to familiarize the community and Planning Board with the proposed Subdivision Regulations & provide the opportunity to ask questions or comments regarding proposed regulations.  Public participation is encouraged.  The Mayor and City Council Members may be in attendance. The Planning Board may make a recommendation to City Council on the proposed regulations. PUBLIC HEARING

NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING:  The Board of Adjustments will meet on Monday, August 5, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. at the City Hall to discuss a variance request submitted by Jeffrey Guay for the property located at the intersection of 2nd Avenue and Monroe Street, Boulder, Montana.

 

The Variance Application received is requesting permission to encroach on the City Rights of Way, within the R-2 zoning district. Mr. Guay is proposing to build a residential dwelling unit 10 feet from the property line that is adjacent to 2nd Avenue and 10 feet from the alley adjacent to the City of Boulder Fire Department. For this reason, the request is being presented to the Board of Adjustments to notice, hold public hearing, and approve, deny, or conditionally approve the applicants request.

 

§ 153.52 MEDIUM DENSITY RESIDENTIAL DISTRICT (R-2)

(F) Yard requirements. Every lot shall have the following yard requirements as measured from the farthest extension of the structure:

 

(1)  Front yard. A 30-foot yard shall be provided on all street frontages (as measured from the curb line; drainage swale or equivalent drainage facility). Corner lots shall be construed as having two frontages, each of which shall allow a 30-foot yard with the exception of corner lots located on streets with 60-foot rights-of-way, which shall allow for a 20-foot yard or a yard that matches the established building line on that block.

 

 

The public may attend the meeting and public comments may be delivered to City Hall prior to the meeting date.
